Diamond & Jewelry Brokers, Inc considers the issue of conflict diamonds to be very important and very serious. The source of a diamond is a very prevelant concern in today's society; as it should be. In 2003, the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), which is supported internationally and domestically, was instituted to ensure that conflict diamonds cannot find their way into legitimate channels of distribution. The diamond industry welcomes and supports this development, and today we can proudly say that less than 1% of the entire world's diamond supply are "blood diamonds."
